ADULT MINISTRIES

The adult ministries at Tri-Lakes Baptist Church are in keeping with the philosophy of our church as a whole, namely, To see people evangelized and become grounded in the Word of God, controlled by the Holy Spirit, and living their lives according to Biblical principles. We attempt to accomplish this with programs like elective Sunday School classes,  Wednesday night Bible study, regular fellowships like Women of the Word, Perseverers (our senior saints group), men's and women's retreats, We also sponsor many annual outreach events that focus on reaching our community with the message of the Gospel.

TEEN MINISTRIES

Youth ministry in our present culture has in many places become simply social in nature in that activities have become the central thrust of youth work. In spite of the fact that today’s youth groups are more active than ever, Christian teens are too often unclear about the Bible’s teaching concerning their lives. Compounding this problem is the fact that the parents of teenagers are often unclear about the Bible’s teaching with reference to raising teenagers “in the discipline and instruction of the Lord” (Ephesians 6:4). We believe that it is the role of the youth ministry to help both parents and teens in their responsibilities to God and each other. Therefore, the main emphasis of the youth ministry at Tri-Lakes Baptist Church is placed upon the doctrines of Scripture. We believe that the greatest tool in raising young people for Christ is a thoroughly biblical mindset. Therefore, we delight in teaching our teens the great truths of God’s Word. We believe that doctrine determines behavior and therefore, doctrine is neither boring nor irrelevant.
As a ministry of the local church, the youth ministry maintains the same purpose as the church —to glorify God. We believe that this aim is accomplished through Worship, Instruction, Fellowship, and Evangelism. The difference in ministry to adults and to teens lies in the realm of application. We seek to apply our aim through maintaining a balanced youth ministry which provides opportunities in fulfilling our purpose:

CHILDREN'S MINISTRIES

Our children are the future of Christianity. It is for this reason that Tri-Lakes Baptist Church strives to teach them the Scriptures from an early age. Our children's ministries are designed with this in mind. From the graded Sunday School, Wednesday night programming ( children's choir and age specific Bible study) to our Monday night  AWANA program, annual Vacation Bible School, and Summer Camp. We are committed to the task of  training children to serve God with all of their being. The goal of the Tri-Lakes Baptist youth program is the same as for the adults, namely, To see people evangelized and become grounded in the Word of God, controlled by the Holy Spirit, and living their lives according to Biblical principles.
